Maryam Gandapur says Nawaz Sharif to rebuild Pakistan, unite Pakistanis

PMLN leader expresses immense faith in Nawaz Sharif’s potential to inclusive growth, socioeconomic betterment, revival of genuine democracy and national economy

Pakistan Muslim League-N Lawyers Forum Vice President Maryam Gandapur, also member of her party’s Election Committee, has said that former prime minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will strengthen Pakistan, and unite Pakistanis, as the charismatic leader has all sincerity in serving people and the motherland besides a vast experience in practical politics as well as political diplomacy.

“I believe that everyone in Pakistan know this fact clearly that Nawaz Sharif had excellent record of serving Pakistan and its people,” she said in an interview with Jarida Daily. “Nawaz Sharif made unprecedented efforts to establish and maintain peace and progress whenever the PMLN supreme leader came to power,” she said.

About the future of Pakistan’s economic landscape, Maryam Gandapur expressed immense faith in Nawaz Sharif’s potential regarding the socioeconomic emancipation of general public, revival of genuine democracy and national economy. She appealed to the voters from all federating units to give a chance to the PMLN as Pakistan’s largest political party would not disappoint people, and the country.

“I assure you that we believe in progress and prosperity as well as serving people,” she said, adding that PMLN and its leadership never indulged in negative politics. She pointed out that local and global investors have shown great interest under the Pakistan Muslim League-N government. Also, she expressed her stance against the involvement of ‘undemocratic forces’ in political affairs.

“We – in the recent past – had to experience that how democratic norms and institutions have visibly eroded in Pakistan with meddling of undemocratic forces,” Maryam Gandapur said. After clear violations, she pointed out that an ‘authoritarian group’ have entered the government in Islamabad and in some federating units and tried to fail democracy and democratic norms besides destroying the national development.

With the support of democratic people, she said that all political parties and politicians expelled the authoritarian group and formed a ‘unity government’ in April 2022. She said that the unity government was made on one point agenda and that was to save Pakistan from default. “Our people can see that difference of opinion never hinder political parties to get together for country’s betterment when it comes to national interest,” she said.

Maryam Gandapur has firm faith in Nawaz Sharif’s development plans and has referred to his return as the victory of truth following the court’s decision. “Nawaz Sharif is an outstanding leader who has always demonstrated positive thinking and behavior to abolish the ‘revenge culture’ in national politics. About court decision, she said that perpetrators behind the fabricated charges against the PMLN leaders have tasted defeat yet again.
