Pakistan’s culinary contest showcases diverse array of skills, creativity

10-member culinary team of Lahore’s Pearl Continental Hotel secures two trophies, five gold medals, and eight other medals

The Pakistan International Culinary Championship 2024, an event backed by the World Chef Association, took center stage in Lahore this week, bringing together culinary enthusiasts and professionals from various foreign countries.

With participation from teams hailing from Maldives, Malaysia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, and various regions of Pakistan, the competition showcased a diverse array of culinary skills and creativity. The culinary team from Pearl Continental Hotel of Lahore, comprising 10 chefs, stole the spotlight with their exceptional skills, securing victories in multiple categories.

The Chefs’ Association of Pakistan (CAP) has organized the sixth edition of the Pakistan International Culinary Championship at the Royal Palm Golf & Country Club in Lahore. International culinary teams from various countries and professional chefs from the hospitality industry across Pakistan competed in the championship to showcase their brilliant culinary talent and skills.

Achievements of Pearl Continental Lahore’s team:

  • Best Pastry Chef of Pakistan: Gold Medal, Silver Medal, Bronze Medal
  • Best Carving Artist: Silver Medal
  • Beef Main Course: Silver Medal
  • Seafood Main Course: Silver Medal
  • Pakistani Modern Cuisine: Silver Medal
  • Pasta Main Course: Gold Medal, Silver Medal
  • Three Course Cuisine: Three Gold Medals
  • Chicken Main Course: Silver Medal

According to PC Lahore’s media team, the 10-member team of the Pearl Continental Hotel of Lahore received overall five gold medals, two trophies, seven silver medals, and one bronze medal. The culinary team’s outstanding performance reflects their dedication, skill, and commitment to culinary excellence, it said. Besides senior government officials, celebrities, socialites, politicians, and business personalities also joined the three-day activities.

In a press release, the media team of the hostel stated that their team’s innovative approach to traditional Pakistani cuisine, as well as their expertise in international culinary techniques, earned them well-deserved recognition in various categories.
